Commission Process
Usually the process works like this:
A possible client reaches out to me (via social media or e-Mail ([email protected])) and describes a generell idea.
I then state what the price will be with the information I was given. Sometimes my clients know before if they want a headshot or a full body illustration, sometimes they have other ideas. (Like wanting a parallax animation landscape). I am very good with my time management so I can give an estimate right away for how long it takes. (between 1 and 2 months for single illustrations),
Then I sent my Terms of Service. At this time, both me or my client can still cancel the entire ordeal.
Terms of Service
- please communicate clearly what you like me to draw/paint. the more detail in description or references/moodboards i get, the easier it is to for me to work on your vision.
- things i dont draw: gentitals, self harm, bigotry (racism, homophobia, transphobia)
- after i agree on a commission, and it is your turn in my queue, i will work on 2-3 sketches. (5-7 for a dance commission) for you to choose from.
- I do stream the process usually on my twitch. if the commission is a gift or shouldnt be made public, please tell me before i start working on it.
- I sent an invoice over paypal after we agree on a sketch.
- if you'd rather send me the money via paypal without invoices - for my taxes i have to be able to put your adress down. yes, even for digital files. thats just how germanys law works. please give me an adress. you dont have to put a name tho, if you dont want.
- you can pay after that or wait till after i have finished the commission - this will not effect my work flow and pace.
- after i sent a sketch it takes me 2-4 weeks to finish your piece, plus 1 week more for every additional piece you ask for.
- you can ask for minor revisions, and 1 bigger revision even after i finish the comm.
- you get the rights to print, sell, post or upload the art in any way, yes, even use it commercially, only after payment is sent. and i reserve the right to print the art for zines in compilation with my other furry art. but please dont turn it into an nft.
After that I start with my sketches.
The Sketches
Part of the process. When I get commissions, I like to give my clienty lots of options to choose from. That means, usually, I do 2-4 sketches with slightly different layouts and colors. After that the client can choose from the selection or give feedback to change the sketches.
All this happens before I get paid - personally like it better, when my client knows fully what they can expect.
Sketches take me 30 minutes each.
After my client agrees on 1 sketch, thats when I like to get paid in full.
Then I just finish on the Commission.
Personally I like to go thru one illustration in one sitting, if possible. this can usually not be done for animations.
Below are examples of sketches I did for different clients, so you have a better understanding what to expect.
In this commission, my client asked for a hare and a mouse in love. I was free to explore anything else -
so I choose to do sketches in a very fairy tail inspired way.
They choose sketch 2.
For this commission my clients wanted their characters to explore a snowy mountain landscape. The two are friends and wanted the art to reflect that. I had lots of fun sketching different snowy landscapes. One of the great things to see here, is what i like to do quite often: each sketch has the characters at a different distance to the camera, and so different size on the canvas as a whole. i find that this is a concept most of my clients cant communicate with words.

The finished Commission
It doesnt happen all the time, but sometimes I have to do revisions based on client wishes. This is expected and I dont charge extra for a few changes.
After I get paid, my client has full rights to the finished piece, yes, even printing and using it commercially. I dont charge extra for that.
I also dont sign or watermark my art. Tho I love my art and am very proud of it and would appreciate credit when the commission is posted online.
